In Rimini, the Christmas village – complete with an ice rink, markets and the Happy Circus – brings the harbour area to life, just a stone’s throw from the sea in winter.
Between Piazzale Boscovich and the beach, the ice rink and the Christmas village will be decked out in festive style from Saturday 28 November.
A Christmas village with wooden huts for Christmas shopping, a large, fully covered 600-square-metre ice rink and a circus with afternoon shows for children and families featuring the performers and tightrope walkers of the Medini Family, amidst festive lights and decorations, all of which make the Christmas atmosphere by the sea even more enchanting.
On the rink, there are plenty of ‘penguin instructors’ to help the little ones take their first steps on the ice, whilst a separate area is set aside for skate hire. (Access to the rink and skate hire are subject to a charge). Skating lessons and ice hockey courses are also on offer. During the festive season, the Village comes alive even more thanks to a programme of ‘On Ice’ evenings featuring DJ sets, entertainment and activities, organised especially for Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
Next to it is the Sand Nativity Scene, featuring sculptural groups created by sand artists.
